PERFORMA 09

PERFORMA is a biennale of Performance that takes place in New York. Each session brings performance artist from all around the world. From classic to edgy from installations to empty space, from water to stars. All imaginable possibilities. Three weeks of creativity and madness. Wonderful. This year I was assigned to photograph some of the PERFORMA events. Here I share a sample. Take your time for a nice tour through the present performa art.

I'm starting a series of Beauty shots to warm up the winter. I'm trying different retouching styles and adding some lines of color to play with compositions. For this shot I worked with a great Make Up Artist named Jarrett. He's super cool, fun, easy going and talented. You cannot ask more.  You can see some of his work at www.jarrettbrandonartistry.com 

Our Model was Stanislava, an amazing Russian beauty as you can see in the images. Great energy and wonderful to photograph. She just arrived to N.Y. a few months ago and I'm sure she'll have a great modeling career. 

I will be shooting through all December so keep near to see all the new work.
